Accessibility and inclusion: New Zoom features for accessibility

Pin multiple videos

Previously only one video could be “pinned” at a time in the Zoom interface. A new accessibility feature allows for pinning multiple videos in the interface, which is helpful to keep a sign language interpreter on screen throughout a video. More information is available on Zoom’s website.

Re-arrange videos in gallery view

Gallery view is the option that puts many videos on-screen in a grid. Previously this was done randomly, but now you can click-and-drag the videos in a grid to an arrangement that works best for you. This allows users to have better control over their screen experience.

Keyboard shortcuts improved

Zoom has revised their keyboard shortcuts and improved how menus and commands are read aloud by screen readers. More information about keyboard shortcuts is available on Zoom’s website.
